AMPLIFYING VOICES OF VULNERABLE GROUPS OF WOMEN AND LGBTQ PERSONS IN WAR AND INCLUSIVE PEACEBUILDING
The project aims to make a lasting impact on the protection and inclusion of vulnerable groups of women and LGBTQ persons in Ukraine through building the capacity of governmental service providers and officials, amplifying voices and expanding the participation of vulnerable groups of women and LGBTQ persons in post-war recovery.
TARGET GROUPS:
- War-affected women and IDPs who need psychosocial support, health care, and other humanitarian services;
- Women survivors of gender-based violence, including domestic violence and conflict-related sexual violence;
- Women living with HIV and from at-risk groups who need specific medical and psychological support; and
- LGBTQ persons who face stigma, discrimination, and violence and need support and protection.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
In March 2024, the Ukrainian Foundation for Public Health, in partnership with the Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation (Kvinna till Kvinna), launched a project to mainstream gender equality and the rights of women and vulnerable populations in Ukraine.
The project aims to raise vulnerable groups' awareness of rights protection and empowerment and amplify their voices in inclusive peacebuilding and community activism. Additionally, various training sessions for social consultants, psychologists, civil servants, police officers, healthcare workers, and personnel from the State Emergency Service will be held in Kyiv, Lviv, and Uzhhorod.

SERVICES OFFERED BY THE PROJECT
✔️ roundtable discussion “Feminism is about equal rights,”
✔️ awareness-raising events “Women’s Garden” in Kyiv, Lviv, and Uzhhorod,
✔️ video podcasts “10 questions about feminism,” and
✔️ events to support vulnerable groups of women and LGBTQ persons.
Additionally, an informational campaign will be carried out to mainstream gender equality and women’s rights, and peer support and mutual assistance groups will be held.
