🏥 In hospitals, where pain, fear, and hope intertwine every day, families with seriously ill children need more than just medical care. They need professional psychological help and a place where they can breathe, find strength, and feel that there is support nearby.
🤝 That's exactly why our team HealthRight International in Ukraine together with Ronald McDonald House Charities have joined forces. Every Thursday, our specialists will hold support groups in Family Rooms in hospitals in Lviv and Vinnytsia.
🛋️ Family rooms are specially equipped spaces in hospitals designed to provide parents and children with an opportunity to rest, recharge their batteries, and receive psychological and emotional support during what is often a difficult treatment process.
👩‍👩‍👧‍👦 This is where our specialists can be there to help parents and children cope with emotional challenges and find the strength to face each day.
💬 For parents, this is not just a meeting, but a space where they can talk about their own experiences and feelings, which often go unheard in the whirlwind of daily struggles. Here, they will have the opportunity to share their experiences, learn to find resources, overcome stress, and not be alone with their anxieties. After all, adult support directly affects how a child feels.
🎨 For children, this is not only about games and creativity, but also real psychological help in an accessible and safe form. It is important for children to be able to understand and name their emotions, to learn to express fear, anger, or sadness without harming themselves. The support of specialists helps children feel confident, reduce anxiety, and find the inner resources necessary for recovery and development.
🗣️ "For families who face the daily challenge of a child's serious illness, it is extremely important to have not only medical care but also emotional support. Our partnership with the Ronald McDonald House Charities allows us to create conditions in hospitals where parents and children feel that they are not alone in this struggle. It's about restoring inner resources, maintaining trust, and strengthening the family. We value this collaboration and sincerely thank our partners for their shared concern for Ukrainian families," said Halyna SkipalskaDirector of HealthRight International in Ukraine and Executive Director of UFPH.
💛 Care and sincere words can give strength when there is almost none left. We want families to feel this when they are with us.
