Shelter for mothers with children in Kyiv
There is a real baby boom at our HealthRight Halfway House in Kyiv for women with children!
The fates of our clients are difficult, but they have found not only shelter, but also support and help in our day center and Halfway House
The amazing power of motherhood and extraordinary love for children united these women in a difficult struggle for their future and the safety of their children.
Tetyana is only 20 and from Lviv region. She had a difficult childhood. She grew up with her grandmother, who was not always patient. After her mother took her in, Tanya's life didn't get any easier - her stepfather was very cruel.
At the age of 18, Tetiana got married. Everything seemed to be getting better, but the war broke out. Her husband went to the front, and the young mother was left virtually alone with twins: Olenka and Serhiy in her arms.
After giving birth, Tatiana was afraid to return to her tyrant relatives without her husband's support. Today, the young mother and her children live in a social apartment.
Another of our clients is Svitlana. She is only 18 and has twins, Oleg and Daniil, in her arms. Svitlana has also faced difficult challenges. She ran away from her abusive stepfather, and after giving birth to her children at the age of 18, the single mom came face to face with adulthood.
After giving birth, she was forced to stay in the hospital because her children needed qualified care. Today, Svitlana and her children live in a social apartment, where she has found the support and care she needs.
No one is left indifferent to the difficult fates of our clients. Even in the most difficult times, there is always a way out. Our social workers and psychologists work with girls to help them cope with difficult life situations.
In our Halfway Houses, women and girls can live free of charge and receive everything they need.
And recently, the mothers of twins also received a gift - a baby stroller for twins from Halyna Skipalska, Director of HealthRight International in Ukraine
Now walking will be more convenient and safer.
